Another Life Changed

From Sarah

I have to say that through WAY-FM my heart was touched. I recently had a miscarriage and was so down and questioning why me! One day I heard "Praise You In The Storm" on your station and needless to say, my heart was so touched! I realized that no matter how rough a storm may be or how hard things are, God IS in there with me and I can ALWAYS lean on Him. THANK YOU WAY-FM for playing such awsome music that touches lives everyday!

Hey! We love hearing from you, about you... about how your life has been changed and what you think.

From Stephanie

Life carries a whole lot of struggles and at times they can be unbearable. I myself have gone through many. My husband and I were separated for about a year. We strayed away from God many times. We decided that our union as one wouldn’t last without the love of the Lord. We started listening to WAY-FM on our way to work in the morning and again in the afternoons. It just kind of seemed to draw us closer to one another when we heard Mercy Me! Our marriage couldn’t be better. Just wanted to thank you guys for all you do. It’s your true dedication that’s influenced us all!

One day as we were driving down the road my wife Jessica heard the song ’Find You Waiting’ by DecemberRadio and immediately started crying. We’ve been through a lot lately, and Jessica has been through the gauntlet her entire life. She’s a childhood cancer survivor, an amputee, lost her father at a young age, saw her child placed in the NICU after birth, and suffered a major stroke in December 2006. When she heard that song she was reminded of God and His never-ending love, providence, and protection that He provides for those that love Him, and how He’s always there for us no matter how bad it gets or how far we fall away.

I listen to WAY-FM on my drive to and from my sons’ school everyday. I moved here recently and have now found a church and become involved. The music is such a big part of it all for me and my sons. They love to clap and sing along as well. I think my 4 ½ year old knows all the words to every Casting Crowns song. Keep up the great work.

From Michelle

Working in an office has become a struggle for me. I found myself becoming less patient, frustrated, testy and not at all showing the joy of my relationship with God while on the job. Then I remembered that I could pick up WAY-FM online. For the past few weeks, having the encouragement and moments of worship during the day has really helped me to be more positive at work. One of my co-workers commented the other day that I seemed different and when I told her that I was listening to WAY-FM online, she told me that maybe I should turn it up a little louder for all of them to hear. Praise God that He can turn what was difficult days into joyful praises. Thanks WAY-FM for all you do.

Recently, I went through a really rough time in my life, and I was flipping through the stations on the radio and found WAY-FM. I had found myself fallen away from God for a few years. I started listening more and more to WAY-FM and because of your station, I found my way back to God. I would just like to say what a wonderful inspiration WAY-FM has been to me. Your station gives me the strength to keep pushing forward. Thank you so much for all you do. Keep doing the what you are doing, because you really are changes lives.

From Lauren

My whole life my parents never made me go to church. I began going to church with my neighbor who listens to WAY-FM about 2 years ago. I really enjoyed the songs because we sang similar songs in church. During that time my mom and my step-dad got a divorce. I kept asking my mom to join me in church on Sundays, but she never seemed to want to attend. I then set the car’s radio station to yours. Everytime we listened, you played songs that related to what was going on in our lives and gave us inspiration. One Sunday morning she woke me up like she always does and asked if she could go to church with me. Now she attends church every Sunday and Wednesday, and she helps out serving in the kitchen. She even got us tickets to TobyMac’s Winter Wonder Slam for Christmas. Without WAY-FM my mother would never have found Christ again. Our lives today are more fulfilled, happier, and Christ like. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

From Lindsey

My senior year has been so difficult because I pulled away from God - being tempted to do things I know weren’t right. But by His grace and dying on the cross for my sins, He forgave me. Listening to WAY-FM makes my day better. When I wake up in the morning it touches my life. God has blessed me so much and I can’t praise and worship him enough for what He has done.

From Amy

My 14 Year old son is having a difficult time in life. He has feelings of being lost, hurt and angry at just about everyone and everything. I have been telling him about a song I heard on WAY-FM from Casting Crowns called "Set Me Free". He finally heard it this morning began to cry. He turned to me and said, "Mom, that is me. That is me. Can Jesus set me free?" I told him that Christ could. I just wanted to thank you for all that you do. Whenever I am feeling lonely or just needing some enjoyment in life, you seem to play just want I and my son need to hear. Again, thank you very much.

From Lauren

I have never been a huge fan of anything to deal with Christianity. One day when I was switching stations on the radio, I ran across WAYFM and heard Skillet’s "Last Night". I found myself relating specifically with the lyrics," You come to me with scars on your wrists. You tell me this will be the last time feeling like this." At the time I was struggling with suicidal thoughts, and cutting and was in and out of psychiatric hospitals. I started listening to WAYFM on a more consistent basis and slowly my thinking on life and God began to change. I accepted Christ as my Savior and since then my whole life has changed. I love WAYFM!! Thanks for having a part in changing my life and bringing me closer to Christ!

Dear WAYFM,

I am a freshman in college, and I am going to school 5 hours away from my hometown. I loved to listen to WAYFM at home, and was feeling homesick; and then I remembered I could listen to the station online. Being able to listen to this great music has given me a piece of home to hold onto and reminds me that my true home, with God, will never change. Thanks a lot for you great music that brings me into worship through out the whole day.

I am typing to you today from the Middle East serving in the U.S. Navy. I was able to listen to your station last week online and heard Tree63’s song Blessed Be Your Name. I have tuned in everyday since then and have played WAYFM at work during the day to reach out to others that I work with. Surprisingly, they all seem to like the music and I am just hoping that the lyrics will begin to take meaning in their lives. Thank you WAY-FM for ministering on the web to reach others around the globe. God bless you for all that you are doing. I am continually praying for God to bless more people with your ministry.

Thanks,

Michael

Dear WayFM,

I just want to thank you for being such an awesome station. I am a graduating senior this year, and the past few weeks i have been debating whether or not to maintain my faith through college or to just drop it since it’s going to be hard going to college and remaining strong. Today, after a long shift at work, i got into my car and Sanctus Real’s song "Don’t Give Up" was playing. That part of the song that really hit me was when it says, "Dont give up love and throw it all away." This challenged me to pursue my faith even more now, instead of going the opposite direction. Thanks WAYFM, you seem to always have the answer that I need. God really uses you and your station. I can’t say thanks enough.

From Laketa

My daughter led me to listen to way-fm; and it didn’t take long to get me hooked. I have been a Christian for many years, strayed away from God, and back again. Way-fm really brought me closer to what God is all about and now I am reading the Bible more, sharing with strangers every day how Awesome God is. And I thank God for Way-fm and also for my daughter, Celia, who led me back to an intimate relationship with Christ. Keep on playing Way-fm. You have a great ministry. I support you with my prayers and have told many people to listen to your station. You are number 1 for praising God.

God Bless

My husband passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago. We have 3 children, and needless to say, we are devastated. He was happy, vibrant, athletic, and we are suffering greatly at losing him, but we know he was saved and is with the Lord. Your station has ministered to our family more than you guys will ever realize. During some of my first trips in the car after his death, you guys had messages meant for me, and really helped me deal with overwhelming grief and sadness. Even though we don’t grieve without hope, your station has been a comfort like never before. Thank You.

From Nicholas

Your station has made me a better person in so many ways and has helped put me on the right path I need to be on as a 14 year old boy. The songs "Me and Jesus" and "Hold On" really helped me get through some very difficult times in my life. I just want you all to know how much it means to me that you guys do whatyou do to get the message of God out to people in need.

From Lori

I could tell numerous stories of ways God has touched my life through your station, but the most powerful one happened almost two years ago. My husband and I became pregnant unexpectedly after 7 years of marriage—Once the shock wore off, we were elated. At 8 weeks gestation, the baby’s heart was not beating. As I left my doctor’s office, Mercy Me’s song, Homesick, came on. I felt like God was crying with me.

We became pregnant again and although I had complications and she came early (3 lbs., 9 oz.), Charlotte Grace entered our world on March 9, 2006. This past year has been filled with challenges of all sorts, but each day I can be sure that the songs you play will help me face those with hope.

Thank you for making such an impact on our lives. By the way, we are not such "young adults" at 41 and 46, but we both listen to and support your station.

From April

WayFM has made it possible for me to face the daily challenges with a hopeful heart. Not too long ago, I was going through a very hard time and (I promise) each time I turned on the radio "I will praise you in the Storm" was on the air. Not long after, life smoothed out, My long lost son contacted me after 16 years, and my daughter (a professed atheist) became a Christian. Proof that God loves us over and over again. Thank you to all of you at WayFM forkeeping us encouraged.

From Mary

Finding WAY-FM was a miracle! It was late at night and we were driving south from Massachusetts. I was looking for a song on the radio and was so happy to find "I can only imagine" on an FM station. (In Mass you need to have a satellite radio to hear Christian music). WAY-FM has helped me and my family to find a home away from home. It is all we listen to! My children sing along to every song and are encouraged every day. I thank the Lord for all of you at WAY-FM and I pray you continue to reach others the way you have reached our Family. Thank you WAY-FM and God bless you.

From Kaloni

I started listening to way-fm while I was in high school, it 8 years later it still encourages me today. More than that my heart soars when I hear my 3 children singing to the songs. Thanks Way-fm and all those who help keep you on the air.

From Rachael

Even though my parents divorced 8 years ago, I’m still going through pain that comes with the splitting of a family. "Never Alone" by Barlow Girl reminds me that even when my mom and dad may not be there for me, God will never leave me. It’s amazing how God can comfort us through music. That shows the importance of having WAY-FM only a click and a tune away.
